  I was shopping earlier today at this As Seen on TV store in Pismo Beach for the first time and was approached abruptly by an employee. He exclaimed to me that there "are no dogs allowed in the store" and I would need to leave. I tried to explain "this is a service dog..." My dog is fully vested, registered through the county and clearly marked as a Working Medical Alert Service animal. The employee continued telling me "Yes, but there are no dogs allowed..." I even provided a paper explaining the current ADA Law. By law, business can ask two questions: IS THIS A SERVICE DOG? and WHAT TASKS DOES IT PERFORM? I was NOT asked either and discriminated against and treated rudely without an apology. This all happened in front of a store full of customers. I would STRONGLY urge the owner(s) of this establishment to become fully aware of the FEDERAL ADA Laws which protect disabled persons like myself from discrimination such as was demonstrated in this store; and to educate your employees about such laws and the appropriate manner in which to treat disabled customers with service animals.
